Sicario (2015)

A very well thought out, intense and intelligent crime drama using the exciting backdrop of the US/Mexico border and the so-called war on drugs. Dramatically and stunningly framed some of the shots make you stare in awe, the subject matter and action is enough alone, the use of the camera and light just elevate it to virtuoso filmmaking, keep it up Mr.Villeneuve. Accomplished actors all, here everyone delicately balances heightened emotion and suspicion superbly, especially nice to see Psychoville's Tealeaf (Daniel Kaluuya) hitting the big time and powerfully. Surely there is no need to mention the gorgeous and astounding as ever Benicio Del Toro - very very good.

Like This Watch These: Traffic (2000) Del Toro excels again on Mexican turf, Cartel Land (2015) (Doc) Informative and hopeful for a while The House I Live In (2012) (Doc) Staggering, Fascinating  and horrifying.
