An American Werewolf In London (1981)
MUST WATCH Still the landmark comedy horror film to beat it really stands the test of time from the amazing effects to the genuine scares and comedic content, it is practically perfect in every way. Two American student backpacking through Europe get attacked by a Werewolf one dies one becomes the other turns, whist all the oddball 'locals' deny anything Lupine occurs there. If you haven't seen this you are really missing out, i adore every second of screen time, superb acting from a plethora of wonderful actors, realistic and appropriate gore, hilarious lines and characters (the murdered jolly couple are great), memorable soundtrack. All the themes are here love, friendship. sadness, joy everything is explored and so so well you need this in your life. I will be devastated if Max Landis (son of director John Landis) has the audacity to try and remake this masterpiece.
Like This Watch These: Michael Jackson: Thriller (1983) The same team brought us Michael's amazing music video, Fright Night (1985) Vampires next door, never watch the remake, Dog Soldiers (2002) Laughter, squaddies and werewolves in Scotland.
