Catfight (2016)

The fight scenes are utterly satisfying (though in the first the stunt people are very obvious), the sound effects are ferocious and just seeing two people who you do not expect to viciously beat each other is a revelation. Two college friends meet again at an event (one guest, one working) and after a confrontation both of their lives change. This is an interesting film filled with comments on modern society, politics and many other cliches it also makes you think anyone living in New York is a bit of a dick. There are some huge losses in the film but very little grief which is interesting in a female centric movie. Shrewdly written and very well played even though most characters are unlikable worth watching for the fighting.

Like This Watch These: I Don't Feel At Home In This World Anymore (2017) Similar feeling of modern life being a bit shit, Death Proof (2007) More fighting gals, Tiny Furniture (2010) Lena Dunham's college grad returns home.
