Spies Like Us (1985)

I don't know if you can enjoy 80's comedies in the same way as someone who was alive then, the best ones yes but the average ones are trickier. I was alive then so they usually tickle me and this is no exception. A fun, gentle comedy about two inept government workers who are fooled into thinking they are spies, they are instead decoys. Witty one liners, slapstick and deadpan retorts from Aykroyd and Chase both masters of their craft, move the silly plot along easily with Landis directing it all gels well. Littered with wonderful cameos, look out for two young directors to be, this isn't the best but it'll do for a duvet day.

Like This Watch These: Three Amigos! (1986) 3 comedy greats playing at heroes, The Great Outdoors (1988) Hilarious Candy and Aykroyd face bears, Caddyshack (1980) Perfect silliness at a golf club.
