Hugo (2011)

A love letter to filmmakers from the ultimate lover of classic film Martin Scorsese, this reminds you of the majesty of moving pictures and how astounding they must have been to the public having never seen anything like it before. Artistically and exquisitely made the love and care for the story and history are obvious, Mr. Scorsese made this his first foray into 3D but it doesn't need to be viewed that way to feel the sadness and adoration for lost things. Enjoyable, sweet but not sickly, and a little bit magical.
