Loving (2016)
Interesting drama about a couple who were instrumental in changing laws about interracial marriage and childbearing. People like Richard and Mildred Loving should be celebrated as they helped change the world by pushing boundaries and challenging ridiculous 1950's American laws. Effectively portrayed by both actors this is not a tour de force of emotion and court battles but a very low key acceptance of their life until set free. It feels more realistic because of this as i'm sure when altering laws and facing the supreme court it is a slow and steady battle. You need to have a genuine interest in the story to fully enjoy this true life accomplishment.
Like This Way Watch These: The Accused (1988) Horrific true life gang rape brave Jodie Foster takes it to court, wonderfully acted, Erin Brockovich (2000) A single mum brings down a power company polluting water, A Time To Kill (1996) Some very powerful courtroom scenes in this John Grisham adaptation of a man accused of killing the monsters who raped his 10 yr old daughter.
