Theeb (2014) (Subs)
An engrossing and impressive story of a young Bedouin boy coming of age whilst guiding a British Officer through the Desert. Emotional and touching, the actors, especially Jacir Eid as the young boy, make you feel this film. Stunning cinematography guides the viewer as Theeb leads the Officer, with some desolating scenes the anguish is more palpable in this barren land. Simple writing and directing that is really powerful. Don't let the subtitles put you off this is great.
Like This Watch These: Mustang (2015) (Subs) 5 sisters scandalously talk to some boys they are put under house arrest and married off, This is England (2006) A young boy befriends a group of skinheads in 1980's England, The 400 Blows (1959) (Subs) A young French boy ignored by all around him turns to petty crime, beautiful.
