The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016)
Creepy, atmospheric and a tad gruesome, this is a lovely underplayed chiller. A father and son, both pathologists are trying to identify the cause of death in a young women, they make some odd discoveries as they realise they may not be alone. No gimmicks here just a classy solid story performed and filmed with subtle flair, great use of light and not too much is shown which is good as sometimes it's not the best make-up. Brian Cox and Emile Hirsch are convincing, authentic and compelling to watch. Maybe not one to watch if you are training to work in a Morgue.
Like This Watch These: Trollhunter (2010) (Subs) Director Andre Ovredal's breakthrough is marvellous, Don't Breathe (2016) Bumbling burglars take on a blind man, Halloween (1978) An all time classic.
