The Ones Below (2015)
This has elements of greatness, just not enough to make it wholly great. The acting is stylish and very good, David Morrissey shows again he can do anything and Clemence Poesy does possible neurotic mother very well. It is tense and creepy but not overtly so, the script also could have been better. Beware of your neighbours, as these two couples do the polite and friendly thing it goes a little wrong. The end is just my cup of tea and made the film for me, maybe not one to watch if you are pregnant or have kids and odd neighbours.
Like This Watch These: Rosemary's Baby (1968) An elegant classic with the epitome of scary neighbours, Gone Baby Gone (2007) Ben Affleck's best directorial effort, a terrific story and his little bro leads well, Raising Arizona (1987) A lighter look at wannabe baby snatchers.
