High Society (1956)
MUST WATCH Grace Kelly playing drunk is a beautiful, glorious thing and that isn't the only highlight in this star filled classic. Delightful music, colourful characters, magnificent costumes (i want all of Ms. Kelly's wardrobe), laughter, love and Mr. Louis Armstrong are all here in spades. As a big fan of all three main stars and 50's musicals in general i was destined to love it, and i do. I would be surprised if you could watch this without smiling at least once.
Fun Fact: Grace Kelly's last film before becoming a princess.
Like This Watch These: The Philadelphia Story (1940) Same story, no singing, three different but still marvellous stars, On The Town (1949) Loads of fun,the only musical my brother will watch, he hates musicals, To Catch A Thief (1955) Fun and games with Grace and Cary searching for a jewel thief.
