A Dark Song (2016)
Steve Oram shines again as an occultist trying to 'help' a woman contact a lost loved one, things do not go to plan. Shot beautifully and well written, though the end is a little muddled and throwaway, there is a haunting unsettling feeling in the build up that doesn't quite get the crescendo it deserves. Not violent or gory this relies on the unseen noises and odd behaviour to get you tingling, and it works, sometimes but the intrigue keeps you watching.
Like This Watch These: Sightseers (2012) Steve Oram perfectly mad with the loopy Alice Lowe, outstanding, The Witch (2015) Black magic simmers in this subtle chiller, Prevenge (2016) More bloody but also brilliantly different.
