Seymour: An Introduction (2014)

The music in this documentary is the highlight and Seymour Bernstein is a good storyteller but i would not want him to teach me piano. A passionate documentary about music, humans and artists, being only one of these (guess which?) i didn't lose myself or get swept away with it, but those more artistic and musical than me will definitely get something from this. Ethan Hawke directs well and with the common touch, he makes quite a niche subject and musician accessible. I would listen to this again but probably not watch it again.

Like This Watch These: The Wrecking Crew (2008) Wonderful look into studio musicians of the 60's and 70's, Sound  City (2013) Dave Grohl's look back at the studio that made him, Buena Vista Social Club (1999) Various amazing Cuban musicians get together, what happens is magical.
