Well worth watching for the simple but stunning classic animation, you will need to be a big fan of this art form as there is no dialogue, at all. An uncomplicated tale of life's different stages told poetically through beautiful visuals and subtle background music, surprisingly engaging for a near silent film. Produced by the genius Studio Ghibli although not in Japanese (obviously) it still injects heart as only they can, considering they asked Michael Dudok de Wit to make this film for them he is certainly one to watch.
Like This Watch These : Kiki's Delivery Service (1989) More Ghibli magic, Watership Down (1978) Tear-jerking classic, The Wind Rises (2013) Aviation animated.
