Having adored the book i approached this warily, i needn't have. An excellent cast, introducing Sennia Nanua as the eponymous girl of the title and the always wonderful Paddy Considine as Sgt. Parks whose character i loathed whilst reading but i can't hate Paddy. A Fantastic and faithful adaptation each segment works well although more time could have been spent at the base to get more acquainted with the core group personas before they have to escape to the empty streets of London which look eerie and realistic. Really worth watching for the stunning landscapes, inspired and original 'hungries' make-up and a genuinely new take on the ever expanding infected/zombie genre.
